OUR PURPOSE AT HAMAMA COMMUNITY CHURCH IS TO MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL PEOPLE BY SHARING THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST TO EVERYONE, AND MENTORING THOSE WHO BELIEVE INTO FULL MATURITY IN HIM.

IKAIKA AND STACEY HIGA

Ikaika was raised on Maui while his wife, Stacey grew up in Indiana. They met at Gateway Seminary when it was in San Francisco; and both shared a desire to tell others about Jesus in ways that speak to their hearts.

Ikaika and Stacey are not perfect people but they serve a perfect God who loves each of us.

KA'I'INI ARANAYDO

Ka'i'ini was raised in the Ahupua'a of Nanakuli, and is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools. He dedicated his life to Jesus Christ while studying at the University of Hawaii-Manoa.

Our Vision

// OUR VISION

We meet people where they are at and engage them with the truth of the gospel. A Christian is a dedicated, passionate haumana (disciple) of Jesus.

Hamama is a pu'uhonua (safe place) to express worship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in cultural and ethnic ways.

We engage the community by perpetuating native Hawaiian culture and language, thereby reflecting the indigenous culture of Ko'olaupoko. And we joyfully serve our community for the good of where God has placed us.

As Hamama grows, we will plant other churches in the surrounding Ahupua'a of O'ahu and neighboring islands as well as going to other nations.

Our Heart

// OUR HEART

Hamama is the name of one of the waterfalls connected to the Waihe'e stream that brings fresh waiola - living water - into our community of Ko'olaupoko.

Hamama translates to "open" or "to open up," an appropriate name for a water source coming from the Ko'olau Mountains.

We, at Hamama Community Church, open our lives to the refreshing Living Water of Christ and desire to share His aloha with everyone.

We seek your support in making Hämama a reality.

May the heavens "open up" and pour grace and favor upon this ministry, in Jesus' name.

This is our prayer.
